It began November 1st 2025 and lasted until April 16th 2026. Five and one half months of food distribution and evacuations from the frontline areas of the war in Ukraine. Within that time I’ve lost colleagues to Russian drone attacks, operated in areas of conflict, and spent one of the coldest winters I’ve ever experienced.

The one year anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine is approaching. They invaders crossed the border on February 24th 2022. I arrived to the city of Przemysl, Poland early March of last year and will have spent a total of over 9 months in Ukraine on the anniversary date.

I’m back in Kharkiv again. I can’t remember how many times I have been here in the past four months. Nothing much has changed except there are less people on the streets. The Russians continue to terrorize ….

It’s now a way of life for me, spending most of everyday either out collecting donations, answering messages from Ukraine asking for aid, messaging back people offering food or being down in the 15ft container I have near Horsham
